… is whom I get to meet in the course of my work.

Julia is Ella’s mom.
And Ella was born with Down Syndrome.
We stayed in touch after the conference through LinkedIn and I received a message from Julia yesterday.
In an elegant and touching short essay titled “Mulch”, that is now a chapter in a new book on Down Syndrome, she provides her testament to the growth-producing life lessons that her child, as do I imagine many children of different stripes, offers anyone willing to remain curious and set aside their preconceived ideas.
Read it – you will find it a life-affirming gem!
